Adherence to Privacy Shield Principles
WHR commits to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and comply with the advice given by such authorities with regard to human resources data transferred from the EU and Switzerland in the context of the employment relationship.
The Right of Access
We acknowledge the right of individuals to access their data for the purpose of reviewing, editing, or correcting their personal information. EU and Swiss individuals wishing to access their personal information may do so by contacting WHR, and we will review and make corrections accordingly. Third Party Access to Personal Data
In the course of WHR’s relocation business, we may transfer information to our third party suppliers (e.g., moving companies, temporary housing suppliers, etc.) as necessary to support the services we deliver. This information is used solely for the purposes of providing relocation services in accordance with our client contracts. We may be liable for the appropriate onward transfer of EU and Swiss individuals’ personal data to third parties.
We do not currently share your information with third parties who are non-agents; however, if that changes in the future, we will provide individuals with a way to opt out of that use or sharing.
In order to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or to any other persons. Finally, and as a last resort, EU and Swiss individuals whose privacy complaints have not been resolved through the aforementioned channels can seek redress through the Privacy Shield Panel, a binding arbitration mechanism.
WHR is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission.
Disclosure of Customer Information
We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law or to protect the rights and property of WHR, our customers, users, or others. This includes the exchange of information in defense or prevention of fraud and reduction of credit risk. We may be required to disclose personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including meeting national security and law enforcement requirements.
