A Word From Roger
Holiday
Greetings to all our Clients, Service Partners and Friends.
While I don't believe we are totally out of the "recessionary
woods" I am gaining optimism the business climate is
improving. WHR continues to see an increased demand for service
and clients that slowed relocation activity in 2008-2009 have once
again authorized employee moves. WHR's real estate inventory is
at historical lows, amended rates for some clients are over 70%, and
feedback on WHR service continues to remain consistently high. All
of these service benchmarks are a reflection of the tremendous
efforts and dedication of the WHR teams and provides me with
confidence going forward.
As I look to 2010 and in particular the content of this monthly
newsletter, I am very interested in getting your feedback. Has
the information been helpful, do you find it useful in your
particular job, what other information would you like to see? I
want this publication to be a valuable resource for you, so I would
ask each of you to give me 5 or 10 minutes of time for some critical
feedback. You can either click on the Feedback Forum Button
below, or simply send me an email to roger.thrun@whrg.com.
I wish you all a Joyful Holiday Season and All the Best in the New
Year!

(Fortune magazine) -- In a dour year for the economy,
the housing market has offered some glimmers of hope. Home sales have
improved, recently hitting their highest level in more than two
years. There's been talk of bidding wars resuming in places like
Silicon Valley and New York City. And cocktail party chatter
everywhere has started to turn to talk of a bottom. So at least where
housing's concerned, things are looking not so bad -- right? More...

WASHINGTON - Construction of new homes, helped by
better weather, rebounded in November following a setback in the
previous month.
The gain is a hopeful sign that
the housing recovery is continuing, a development viewed as critical
to lifting the overall economy out of recession. More...

Hidden fees and the inability to reach a live human
being on the phone are the two issues that annoy U.S. consumers the
most, according to a survey by Consumer Reports.
In late September, Consumer Reports asked 1,125 Americans to score 21
gripes on a 1 -to-10 scale, 1 meaning an experience "doesn't
annoy me at all" and 10 meaning it "annoys me
tremendously"
Hidden fees topped the list, getting an 8,9 score. The inability to
reach a human being wasn't far behind at 8.6.
Other annoyances that were high on the list were tailgating, cell
phone use while driving, and incomprehensible bills. Pet owners who
failed to scoop the poop also were close to the top of the list.
The bill also made more homeowners eligible to claim the credit on
their taxes.

Despite having no luck selling their properties, home
owners in some parts of the country have clung tenaciously to their
notions of the value of their homes.
Forbes magazine ranked markets it considered the most overpriced
based on the ratio of the median initial list prices compared to the
median list prices at the time the properties actually sold. It also
factored in how long the properties stay on the market. In addition,
the magazine considered expert forecasts of price increases in the
areas, which could be what were encouraging home owners to price
high.
The top 10 areas where Forbes found the most over-priced properties
were:
1. Orlando
2. Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach
3. Jacksonville, Fla.
4. Baltimore-Towson
5. Chicago-Naperville-Joliet
6. San Antonio, Texas
7. Denver-Aurora
8. Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater
9. Indianapolis-Carmel
10. Austin-Round Rock

Each member of my coordinating team is very helpful and
courteous when we call. If they
are unavailable, the other staff members are helpful and courteous
also. Jeanette
from Chicago, IL
My coordinator was great to work with. She was prompt in answering
emails and phone calls. She was always
pleasant. Chris
from Columbus, OH
My coordinating team is very knowledgeable about the
process. They conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism.
Allison from
Naperville,
IL
My coordinating team went above and beyond my
expectations throughout this process. They made everything easy on me
and my family and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided.
Lauren from
They were awesome.
It seemed at any hour even if they weren't there to help,
someone else was who was very helpful.
When they were there to help, they knew what they were talking
about, had my back and alleviated any worry I may have otherwise had.
Wilmington, DE
My coordinator has been very helpful and professional
during this stressful time. When
my coordinator was busy, staff was very courteous and helpful. As I
said, this is a very stressful time and the WHR group has made some of
the stress easier.
