A Word From Roger

The
2011 year is off to quite a start at WHR as our office is
expanding to meet our growing volume of business. Workers are
tearing down walls, running conduit, building new work spaces and
doing all the things necessary to bring state of the art work areas
to our people. We bought our building 5 years ago with the
intent that we would eventually grow into the unused space, and
consequently you might hear a hammer or a saw occasionally in
the background. We're working diligently with our
contractor to have the noisiest work done during non-office hours,
but as we're open from 8 to 8 every weekday and 9-3 on Saturday and
Sunday this is proving to be a difficult task.
I've
always held the belief that owning our own facility, creating our own
proprietary technology, and employing the best people is fundamental
to the success of our business. I might be old fashioned, but I
believe in establishing a work environment that puts
down roots and is well equipped to manage future growth.
Our people deserve an atmosphere that is reflective of the results
they achieve and one where they can thrive professionally.
Some
of you know that my roots are from the south side of Chicago where my
mother owned a clothing store. She taught me many life
lessons and I learned much from the experiences she had as a small
business owner. She believed that the appearance of the store
was a direct reflection of what people might be interested in
purchasing and also how her staff would manage
people. Providing a state of the art and comfortable
environment for our people will be terrific for our WHR family,
but will also be a direct reflection of what our clients will
receive in service and cost management within the relocation
field.
I
want to thank all of our clients for the great year we had
in 2010 and I'm looking forward to even greater opportunities
and challenges in 2011.
Happy New Year!!

U.S. Foreclosure-Prevention Program Fell Short,
Congressional Oversight Panel Says
By Brady Dennis
December 14, 2010
www.washingtonpost.com
The Treasury Department's primary
foreclosure-prevention program has failed to live up to expectations
and has suffered from a lack of "meaningful goals,"
according to a report from a congressional watchdog panel due out
Tuesday.
The government's Home Affordable Modification Program,
or HAMP, is on pace to prevent 700,000 to 800,000 foreclosures - a
significant figure, but far fewer than the 3 million to 4 million
struggling homeowners Treasury officials originally hoped to help,
according to the bipartisan Congressional Oversight Panel.

Sleepy Housing Market to Awaken in 2011
By Broderick Perkins
December 23, 2010
www.realtytimes.com
World
stock markets rallied Wednesday amid signs that the American recovery
could be gaining traction - led partly by factory output - and relief
that Europe might be on the verge of finding some much-needed
leadership on its widening financial crisis.
"There
is a subtle mood shift," said Bob Atwell, chief executive at
Nicolet National Bank in Green Bay. Even as mortgage and banking
businesses remain a drag on the U.S. economy, "I sense a shift
in psychology that's more tilted to optimism than pessimism."

"My Relocation Counselors are the BEST! I attribute
the smooth transition from Fort Knox to Fort Benning directly to them.
I felt as though they were my friends rather than persons charged with
assisting me through a process. They listened, advised, were always
courteous and respectful, but mostly they are truly professional in
every regard. I do not think I can thank them enough."
