A Word From Roger
Thanks
for taking the time to read another monthly newsletter from WHR
Group. I wanted to take a break from the agenda I laid out in
January as I received a note from one of our clients that truly made
my day. This message provided confirmation that the processes
and people we've put in place to managing relocation services is
fundamentally strong.
To provide some context, a current client contact has taken a
different position within his company to pursue another area of
HR. I am grateful this individual took the time to write me
this note, and it simply adds credence to our marketing statement
that the road to relocation excellence leads to WHR Group. Here
is the exact quote:
"I just wanted
to send a note to say goodbye, but more importantly to say
Thanks! There has never been a time in my career that I was
more of a fish out of water than when I was asked to work with
Relocation last year. You have been so patient with me and have
been the best teachers.
The WHR Team
is such an inspiration. Since day one I have been amazed at the
passion and drive you bring to your jobs. And I so appreciate
how deeply you care about our company. This is not something I
have seen in any other vendor we work with across HR. This is
truly a partnership and one that produces amazing results in some of
the most difficult situations I have ever seen."
I can't tell you how proud I was in getting this note. It's
easy to tell people how to do things, but putting management
philosophies into action is the work of an exemplary management team
that guides our relocation professionals every day.
Additionally, we just completed our April reporting and the following
are some high level results:
Overall Team Satisfaction for the
Company..... 98%
Amended Rate
for the company ..... 86.4%
Appraisal
Variance .... 1.9%
These are some of the best results in WHR's history,
and I am extremely pleased with the efforts of our employees.
However, I am also grateful that we have clients that partner with
us, and allow for the implementation of new policies to help drive
these results. None of this can be achieved without a true
partnership between WHR and our Clients, so I am grateful for their
trust.
Please let me know if WHR can ever be of service to your organization
as it would be a privilege to demonstrate how WHR can bring a
partnership to your organization. You will never be taken for
granted.

Fannie
Offers Spur to Avoid Foreclosure
www.wsj.com
Fannie Mae will make it easier for some struggling
homeowners to buy houses in the future if they avoid foreclosure in
the present.
Under rules released this month that will take effect
in July, some troubled borrowers who give up their homes by
voluntarily transferring ownership through a "deed in lieu of
foreclosure" or by completing a short sale, where a home is sold
for less than the amount owed, will be eligible in two years to apply
for a new mortgage backed by Fannie.
Currently, borrowers who complete a deed-in-lieu of
foreclosure must wait four years before they can take out a loan that
Fannie is willing to purchase. More...

Washington Post Staff Writer
Federal Reserve leaders left their target interest
rate near zero on Tuesday and restated their intention to keep rates
very low for an "extended period" Wednesday, even as they
modestly upgraded their assessment of the economy.
"Economic activity has continued to
strengthen," the Federal Open Market Committee said in a
statement after a two-day policymaking meeting, and "the labor
market is beginning to improve." That represents a slight
improvement from the assessment issued after the leaders' last policy
meeting, in mid-March, when they said only that the job market was
"stabilizing." More...
